VAN DE POEL FOR HIS MANY YEARS OF SERVICE TO THE CONTRA COSTA SUPERIOR COURT WHEREAS,Judge John F. Van De Poel has presided at the Contra Costa Superior Court since January 23, 1992 serving as a Civil Past Track Judge and as a General Trial Judge for Criminal Jury Trials; and WHEREAS, Judge John F. Van De Poel earned the respect of everyone who worked with him by his genuine concern for making sure everyone is heard and asking many questions to be certain the correct decisions are made; and WHEREAS, Judge John F. Van De Poel has served on boards of various organizations including serving as President of the American Board of Trial Advocates, President of the Alameda County Bar Association, President of the Association of"Defense Counsel and was named Lawyer of the Year in 1985; and WHEREAS, Judge John F.
