Costa DATE: February 5, 2002 O u n �j J SUBJECT: UPDATE TO BOARD MEMBER ASSIGNMENTS TO ✓ 2002 BOARD COMMITTEES, SPECIAL COUNTY COMMITTEES AND REGIONAL ORGANIZATIONS SPECIFIC REQUEST(S)OR RECOMMENDATION(S)&BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION RESOLUTION NO. 2002!56 RECOMMENDATION: A. ACKNOWLEDGE that the Board of Supervisors adopted a policy on Board Member Committee Assignments on March 21, 2000. 2. ACKNOWLEDGE that adoption of a new Master Resolution with a complete roster of all appointments is required by Board policy whenever terms expire or new appointments are made. 3. RECOGNIZE that the 2001 Redistricting placed some of the East County cities and communities within District III, requiring an examination of some of the regional and district appointments of Board members. ,, 4. APPOINT Supervisor Donna Gerber as the Board of Supervisors Alternate to the East Region Library Board and UPDATE the master list of Board appointments to reflect this appointment and those Regional Library Board appointments made by order of the Board of Supervisors on June 24, 1997, as indicated on Attachment 1. 5. INDICATE that this RESOLUTION supersedes in its entirety the Resolution No. 2002/4, which was adopted by the Board of Supervisors on January 8, 2002. 6. RESOLVE that Board Members as named are APPOINTED to serve on Board committees, special county committees and regional boards/committees/ commissions as specified on Attachment I for Internal Committees, on Attachment 11 for Regional Committees, Attachment III for Special Restriction Committees, and Attachment IV for Ad Hoc Committees.
