HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS - 01012001 - 2001-99 The Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County In the Matter of Resolution No. 2001/99 RECOGNIZING FLOYD REESE AS A 2001 LIBERTY UNION HIGH SCHOOL DISTRICT "GRADUATE OF DISTINCTION" WHEREAS, Floyd Reese was a graduate of Liberty High School in 1966; and WHEREAS, following his graduation from Liberty High Floyd continued his education by earning his Bachelors Degree in Political Science at the University of California Los Angeles in 1970 and a Masters Degree in Kinesiology in 1971; and WHEREAS, upon completing his education he began his coaching career at Liberty Union High School before returning to his alma mater in Westwood as an Assistant Coach in 1971 where he spent three seasons before moving to Georgia Tech in 1974; and WHEREAS, Floyd is currently the Executive Vice President and General Manager of the AFC Champion Tennessee Titans; and WHEREAS, Floyd is a strong family man with a wife and two sons; and WHEREAS, Floyd is currently involved as a member of the American Red Cross, PENCIL Foundation, Education First and the Nashville Rotary; and WHEREAS, as an honored "Graduate of Distinction", Floyd will be honored on March 9, 2001 at a special awards ceremony and social at Cap's Oak Street Bar and Grill in Brentwood. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of the County of Contra Costa, California, does hereby expresses sincere admiration and appreciation to Floyd Reese, as well as congratulations on being bestowed with the very special honor of"Graduate of Distinction".
