In the Matter of Honoring James H. Lihhey,
Family Law Commissioner
Superior Court of the State of California
In Contra Costa County

RESOLUTION NO. 2001188
WHEREAS;James H. Lihheyas a Family Law Commissioner has served the Superior Court of
the State of California in Contra Costa County with distinction 20 years; and
WHBREAS; James H. Lihhey as a native son of Contra Costa County, having been born in
Antioch and practicing law there, as well as serving the district attorney's office; and
WHEREAS,James H. Lihhey is the co-author of "Attorney's Brief Case - California Family
Law"an outstanding software program used by family lawyers throughout California; and
WHEREAS,James H. Lihhey, as a Superior Court Commissioner has brought fairness, wisdom
and caring to the lives of thousands of children and families from his bench; and
HWEREAS, James H. Lihhey, has published numerous ground-breaking decisions in the areas
of child and marriage law;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa
County extend to Judge James H. Lihhey, special recognition for his twenty years of outstanding
service to the people of Contra Costa County with their warmest wishes for all future endeavors.
PASSED AND ADOPTED ON March 13, 2001 by a unanimous vote of the Board
