HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS - 01012000 - 2000-534 t. & IN THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA Adopted this Resolution on Novea ber 1.4,2000 , by the following vote: AYES: SUPERVISORS GIOIA, UILKEMA, DeSAULNIER, CANCIAMILLA and GERBER NOES: NONE ABSENT: NONE ABSTAIN: NONE Resolution No. 20001.1u_ Subject: Establish lease agreement with the Naval Weapons Station, Concord WHEREAS,the Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors has expressed interest in joint use of the Concord Naval Weapons Station (Seal Beach Detachment Concord); and WHEREAS,the Board is interested in determining the costs associated with restrictions and mitigation measures related to the use of the property; and, WHEREAS, studies, including the FOSL and NEPA, must be conducted prior to release of the site for civilian use; and, WHEREAS, the Board supports the effort of Congressman George Miller to obtain funding for these required studies; and, WHEREAS, following analysis for cost effectiveness, the Board may wish to enter into negotiations with the Navy as Master Lessee; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors supports the legislation enabling the Navy to negotiate with the County.
