THE CONTRA COSTA COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, in its capacity as governing Board of
the County of Contra Costa and all districts of which it is ex-officio governing Board, RESOLVES
THAT:
The Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County APPROVE the Side Letter (copy attached and
included as part of this document), jointly signed by representatives of Contra Costa County
Employees Association, Local No. One and the County regarding a five percent (510) differential for
an employee assigned to perform the duties of the Legal Desk in the Office of revenue Collection,
effective November 1, 2000.
I hereby certify that this is a true and correct copy of
an action taken and entered on the minutes of the
Board of Supervisors on the date shown.

Dear Mr. Copeland:
In accordance with Section 37A of the Letter of Understanding between the County and
Local No. One, the Duman Resources Department has completed its review of the Legal
Desk in the Office of Revenue Collection. Based on the review, it was agreed that a five
percent (5%) differential be paid to the employee assigned to perform the duties of the
Legal Desk, effective November 1, 2000.

Adopt Board Order approving Side Letter with CCC Employees
Association, Local No. One regarding a differential for Legal Desk
position In the Office of Revenue Collection.
• During 1999 negotiations with Local One, the County agreed to review
the Legal bask in the Office of Revenue Collection.
• Based on the review, it was agreed that a five percent (5%) differential
be paid to the employee assigned to perform the duties of the Legal
Desk.
• The five percent (5%) differential for the employee assigned to perform
the duties of the Legal Desk in the Office of Revenue Collection will go
into effect November 1, 2000.
