HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS - 01012000 - 2000-343 IN THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, STATE OF CALIFORNIA In the Matter of Declaring the Week of ) July 23-29, 2000 as Probation and Parole ) RESOLUTION NO.2000/343 Officers Week in Contra Costa Country 1 WHEREAS, Governor Gray Davis has issued a proclamation recognizing and honoring the adult and juvenile probation,parole and community supervision officers in California who are an essential part of the criminal justice system and declaring July 23-29,2000 as"Probation and Parole Officers Week"; and WHEREAS,these dedicated and committed individuals provide direct service and support to offenders who work and live in our communities while holding them accountable for their actions,provide support to victims of crime and protection to the community as guardians of public safety recognizing the right of the public to be safeguarded from criminal activity; and WHEREAS,their extraordinary commitment and service have made the State of California and Contra Costa County a safer, more secure place to liver NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED on the recommendation of the County Probation Officer Steve Bautista that the Board of Supervisors declares July 23-29, 2000 as "Probation and Parole Officers Week"in Contra Costa County. PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE BOARD ON I HEREBY CERTIFY that this is a true and correct copy of an action taken and entered on the minutes of the Board of Supervisors on the date shown.
