RESOLUTION NO. 2000/250
WHEREAS, RCD has been a community-based provider of affordable housing for very-low and
low income households in Contra Costa County since 1984; and
WHEREAS, RCD has developed a wide range of affordable rental housing projects; including
housing for people with HIVIAIDS, people with physical disabilities, the frail elderly, formerly
homeless women and children, and very-law income families; and
WHEREAS, RCD has assisted Contra Costa County residents in becoming owners of their
housing; and
WHEREAS, RCD actively advocates for the continuing availability of affordable housing in
Contra Costa County and throughout Northern California; and
WHEREAS, RCD is committed to excellent property management and resident services in its
completed developments; and
WHEREAS, RCD is committed to including the input of future residents and the community
throughout the housing development process; and
WHEREAS, RCD is a non-profit housing development corporation dedicated to creating and
preserving high quality affordable housing for people with the fewest options in Contra Costa
County and throughout Northern California
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the County Board of Supervisors does hereby
proclaim that lune 4, 2000 is RCD day in Contra Costa County and that its accomplishments
and contributions to the citizens and community of the County of Contra Costa be celebrated
accordingly.
PASSED AND ADOPTED ON MAY 23, 2000, by a unanimous vote of the Board members
