HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS - 01012000 - 2000-132 THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA IN THE MATTER OF HONORING Jerry Fender for His Years of RESOLUTION NO. 2000/132 Service to the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District WHEREAS, Jerry Fender has retired at the end of March, 2000, after 35 years of service to the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District; and WHEREAS, Mr. Fender began his career as a Firefighter and promoted through the ranks of Senior Firefighter, Training Instructor, Fire Captain, and reached his ultimate rank of Training Supervisor in November, 1973; and WHEREAS, Training Supervisor Fender has been dedicated to the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District and has been a knowledgeable, diligent and articulate Chief Officer of the District; and WHEREAS, the Fire Commission, the Fire Chief and the employees of the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District wish to express their respect, admiration and appreciation for his service and support. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors honors and acknowledges Training Supervisor Fenders 35 years of service to the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District and wishes him health and happiness in his retirement. PASSED AND ADOPTED on March 28, 2000, by unanimous vote of the Board members present.
