HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS - 01012000 - 2000-102 THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA IN THE MATTER OF proclaiming March 15, 2000 as ) RESOLUTION NO.2000/102 Women's Hall of Fame Day in recognition of Women's ) History Month ) WHEREAS, March is Women's History Month; and, WHEREAS, on October 28, 1997 the Board of Supervisors established a Women's Hall of Fame to recognize women who have made significant contributions to Contra Costa County in six distinct categories, and; WHEREAS, the women being honored in the year 2000 are listed below: Women Demonstrating Leadership Sara Hoffman Women Creating Community Annie King-Meredith Women Working for Justice Lynn MacMichael Women Preserving the Environment Paulette Lagana Women Improving Health Care Doris Copperman Women Contributing to the Arts Rhoda Klitsner, and; WHEREAS, every year since, the resolution has been reaffirmed by the Contra Costa Commission for Women; and WHEREAS, the recipients of the above will be honored at a luncheon on March 15, 2000 at Embassy Suites in Walnut Creek; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County does honor and recognize the Women's Hall of Fame on March 15, 2000. PASSED by unanimous vote of the Board Members present.
