SUBJECT: Approve Quitclaim Deed of Development Rights
to Schuler Homes of California, Inc.

The Public Works Director having reported that on September 14, 1999, the Board
accepted a Grant Deed of Development Rights from Schuler Homes of California, Inc.,
described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto, in lieu of complying with certain conditions of
approval for Development Number 8250.
On the recommendation of the Community Development Director, IT IS BY THE
BOARD ORDERED that the Chairperson is AUTHORIZED to execute the following
"Quitclaim Deed" of the development rights to "Schuler Homes of California Inc." The
document was prepared by the Public Works Department, Real Property Division.
The Real Property Division is DIRECTED to cause said Quitclaim Deed to be
delivered to the grantee.

QUITCLAIM DEED OF DEVELOPMENT RIGHTS
For valuable consideration, receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, the County of Contra
Costa, a political subdivision of the State of California, hereby remises, releases and
forever quitclaims to, Schuler Homes of California, Inc., all of its right, title and interest in
the real property, specifically "development rights," as defined in the deed to the County
of Contra Costa, recorded on October 27, 1999, Series No. 99-285325, Contra Costa
County Records, State of California; situated in the unincorporated area of the County of
Contra Costa, State of California, more particularly described in Exhibit "A," attached
hereto and made a part hereof.
No transfer tax due. This is a quitclaim of development rights only.

of beginning North 660 27'45"East, along said South line, to the West line of the tract of land designated
on the Map of Tract 2383, filed April 12, 1957, Map Book 67, Page 1; thence along the exterior line of the
tract of land designated on said Map of Tract 2383 as follows:
