BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
In the Matter of the Retirement )
of ) RESOLUTION NO. 99/560
Robert Hofmann )
WHEREAS, the Employment and Human Services Department is about to "graduate"
long-time employee Robert Hofmann to retirement; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Hofmann is retiring from the County and Department after 33 (almost
34) years of service; and
WHEREAS, it is appropriate to recognize the excellent work Mr. Hofmann has provided
while serving the department as an Administrative Assistant, Administrative Services
Assistant 111, Administrative Officer, Assistant County Welfare Director, and in his
current position as the Workforce Services Director; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Hofmann served as the Interim County Welfare Director in late 1994
through August of 1995 while the department was between permanent directors; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Hofmann is very likely to be seen with a camera at department
functions taking pictures and providing employees with many wonderful photographs
and memories of events; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Hofmann will be greatly missed by his many colleagues and friends in
the Employment and Human Services Department and county government.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors wishes to honor,
recognize and thank Robert Hofmann for his devotion and commitment to the citizens of
Contra Costa County; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors congratulates Robert
Hofmann and extends him every good wish on the occasion of his retirement.
