HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS - 01011998 - 1998-637 t -q. 74 SUBJECT: Establish differential for additional duties RESOLUTION NO. 98/ 637 and responsibilities in the class of Recordable Documents Technician WHEREAS, the County Clerk-Recorder has requested and the Director of Human Resources has recommended that a ten percent differential be established in the class of Recordable Documents Technician so that a single position in that class, that is assigned specific additional duties and responsibilities may be appropriately compensated for those added responsibilities;AND WHEREAS,the County Administrator has approved this request; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CONTRA COSTA COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS RESOLVE THAT: 1. Effective December 1, 1998, a ten percent differential is established in the class of Recordable Documents Technician(J9WF). 2.No step shall be granted above step 5 for satisfactory performance with steps 6 and 7 being reserved for the incumbent designated by the appointing authority as having been assigned specific additional duties and responsibilities. 3. The incumbent in the position designated by the County Clerk-Recorder as having been assigned specific additional duties and responsibilities may receive in addition to their merit step , two 5 % steps as provided for in the salary range. In no case shall a step be given beyond the step 7 of the salary range for satisfactory performance by the incumbent in the position. 4. The additional duties and responsibilities shall include but not be limited to the following: • processing complex and unique recordings • title company special case recordings • oversight and recording of map filings • providing lead direction to other Recordable Documents Technicians • staff`scheduling and monthly reports 5. If the incumbent assigned in the position is unable to perform the additional duties and responsibilities,these duties may be assigned to another incumbent, who is then eligible to receive the differential. 6. This differential is awarded at the discretion of the appointing authority and may be rescinded at the discretion of the appointing authority. 7. Except as may be changed or modified by resolution hereafter, all provisions of the Salary Regulations are applicable.
