Transfer of Los Medanos
Community Hospital District Resolution No. 98/.432
Employees into County
Service/Health Services Department
The Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors RESOLVES THAT:
Pursuant to the August 1, 1998 Memorandum of Agreement Between Los Medanos
Community Hospital District (the "District") and the County of Contra Costa (the "County") to
lease Los Medanos Community Hospital, the County is responsible to employ the District's
current employees.
The Health Services Department, having reviewed the personnel records of the three
District employees opting for County employment, and having reached agreement on terms and
conditions of employment with both Contra Costa County Employees' Association, Local No. 1
and AFSCME, Local No. 2700 representing the classifications listed below, recommends the
transfer of the District employees into County service in accordance with Part 16 of the
Personnel Management Regulations:
NOW, THEREFORE, the Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County does hereby
authorize:
1) The addition of the following positions:
One(1)40/44 Institutional Services Worker-Lead(1KVF)to Cost Center#6522
One (1)40/40 Secretary-Advanced Level (J3TG)to Cost Center#6549
One(1)40/40 Account Clerk-Experienced Level(JDVC)to Cost Center#6554
2) The transfer of three District employees into County service,in the above positions, effective
September 1, 1998 with the seniority status, pay level, anniversary dates, vacation and sick
leave accruals, and position titles as set forth in the attached document which is incorporated
herein by this reference. Further, those employees being transferred into County service who
were hired by the District prior to July 1, 1980, shall be allowed to select between the two
retirement plans offered to general county employees in 1981, and all transferred employees
shall be allowed to opt for the Tier III retirement plan as made available to all County
employees in 1998.
