SUBJECT: CONFIRM TENTATIVE AND FINAL REPORT, ASSESS WATER SERVICE CHARGES FOR
FISCAL YEAR 1998-99, AND DIRECT COLLECTION OF WATER SERVICE CHARGES ON
TAX ROLL FOR COUNTY SERVICE AREA M-26 IN THE BETHEL ISLAND AREA

That the Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County, for County
Service Area M-26:
A. NEAR and CONSIDER all objections or protests, if any, to the
tentative report filed by the Public Works Director with the
Clerk of the Board, said report containing a description of
each parcel of real property receiving water service within
said County Service Area and the amount of the charge against
each parcel for Fiscal Year 1998-99; and
B. CONFIRM the tentative report without revision, DECLARE that
the tentative report shall constitute the final report, and
CONFIRM the final report as presented; and
C. FIX the annual charge for water service in County Service Area
M-26 at $490.00 per parcel for Fiscal Year 1998-99, as set
forth in the final report; and
D. Pursuant to Section 2 of Ordinance No. 97-18 and Sections
1012-2.614 and 1012-2.616 of the County Ordinance Code,
COLLECT the annual water service charges on the tax roll; and
E. DIRECT the Clerk of the Board to file certified copies of the
f inal report and this Resolution with the County Auditor-
Controller in accordance with the provisions of Section 1012-
2.612 of the County Ordinance Code and Government Code Section
25210.77a; and
F. DIRECT the County Auditor-Controller to levy the annual water
service charges on the tax roll for Fiscal Year 1998°99, with
such charge to appear as a separate item on the tax bill.

The above actions have no impact on County Finances. Water service in
County Service Area M-26 is Funded entirely by annual water service
charges.

The Board set July 14, 1998, at 11:00 a.m. , in the Hoard Chambers, as the
time and place for a public hearing on the tentative report (Preliminary
Engineer's Report) Filed by the Public Works Director. All required
hearing notices have been given. The proposed annual water service charges
are needed to fund and maintain water service within the county service
Area.
The County service Area would have to reduce or eliminate water service or
raise the necessary revenue by other means.
