HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS - 01011998 - 1998-219 IN THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, STATE OF CALIFORNIA In the Matter of Declaring the Week of May 3-9, ) 1998, as NA770NAL T0LWSM UTEK ) RESOLUTION NO. 981219 in Contra Costa County. ) WHEREAS, the travel and tourism industry carries tremendous importance for the County of Contra Costa, contributing to our employment, economic prosperity, international trade and relations, peace, understanding, and goodwill; and WHEREAS, every citizen benefits from the effects of travel and tourism; and WHEREAS, the industry substantially enhances our personal growth and education while promoting intercultural understanding and appreciation of our county's geography, history, and culture; and WHEREAS, we wish to recognize the unique significance of the travel and tourism industry in the lives of the citizens of Contra Costa. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors declares the week of May 3-9, 1998, as NATIONAL TOLWSM RTEKand urges the people of Contra Costa to join in this observance.
