BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors in its capacity
as Governing Board of the County of Contra Costa and all districts of which it is the ex
officio Governing Board, APPROVES the attached Side Letter of Agreement (effective
March 10, 1998) between Contra Costa County and SEIU Local 535 which provides for
special assignment compensation of $150.00 per month for Eligibility Workers assigned
to the CaiWORKS pilot units.

SUBJECT: Salary Adjustments for Building Inspection Classes
Amendment to Section 57.6(G)2 of the MOU
Dear Mr. Clarke:
This letter confirms agreement between the County and Local No. 1 to adjust the
salaries of certain represented classes in the Building Inspection Department in
lieu of the five percent (5%) salary differential currently paid for Building
Inspection assignments pursuant to Section 57.6(G)2 of the MOU.
The salaries of the following job classifications shall be reallocated on the salary
schedule effective March 1, 1998 as follows:
