HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS - 01011998 - 1998-080 IN THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, STATE OF CALIFORNIA In the Matter of Thanking the Pleasant ) Hill Senior Club for its Contribution to ^ } RESOLUTION NO. 98180, the Veteram i'M moment Resstoraon- WHEREAS, the Pleasant Hill Senior Club is an organization that has long been active in the community and draws its membership from many areas other than the City of Pleasant Dilly ,and WHEREAS, the Veterans' Monument in Pleasant Hill honors the sacrifices and memories of men and women residents of Contra Costa County, and it is urdergoing a restoration effort which will be celebrated on Memorial Day 1998; and WHEREAS, Contra Costa County and private.citizens are contributing financial and/or in kind services towards this effort- and WHEREAS, the Pleasant Hill Senior Club wishes to make a contribution by contributing $1 for every member of the organization, and there are 2,141 members of the Club for a donation in the amount of Two Thousand One Hundred Forty One($2,141)Dollars. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors gratefully recognizes and sincerely thanks the members of the Pleasant Dill Senior Club for such a generous contribution and commends them for assisting in the restoration effort, PASSED AND ADOPTED ON March 3,,1998, by a unanimous vote of the Board members present.
