ADOPTED this order on February 24, 1998 by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Uilkema, Gerber, DeSaulnier, Canciamilla and Rogers
NOES: None

SUBJECT: Authorization for Submission of Seismic )
Structural Retrofit Grant Applications by )
Crockett-Carquinez Fire Protection District )
and Designation of Chief Gerald C. Littleton )
as Applicant's Agent }
The Crockett-Carquinez Fire Protection District fire stations located in the Town of Crockett (Stations 78 and 79)
were built in 1958 and 1939 respectively; and
The District having obtained a seismic evaluation of the stations which revealed the need for seismic renovation;
and
Chief Littleton having developed Seismic Structural Retrofit Grant Applications for submission to the California
Governor's Office of Emergency Services to obtain funding to partially fund the seismic renovation; and
Chief Littleton having indicated that the District will be able to fund the required matching share of the total project
cost; and
Chief Littleton having indicated that the grant application process requires the adoption of a resolution authorizing
submission of the grant application and designation of an agent of the applicant to act on behalf of the District in
matters related to the application process, as described in the attached Designation of Applicant's Agent
Resolution and Certification forms which are incorporated herein by reference;
NOW THEREFORE, the Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors, as the Board of Directors of the Crockett-
Carquinez Fire Protection District, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE that Chief Gerald C. Littleton is Designated as the
Applicant's Agent and is Authorized to submit the subject grant application.

of Supervisors on the date shown.
