HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS - 01011998 - 1998-012 IN THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, STATE OF CALIFORNIA ADOPTED this order on January 13. 1998 by the following vote: AYES: Supervisors Uilkema, Gerber, DeSaulnier, Canciamilla, and Rogers NOES: None ABSENT: None ABSTAIN: None RESOLUTION NO. 98/12 SUBJECT: Establishment of a Range of Hourly Pay ) Rates For Contra Costa County Fire } Protection District Reserve Firefighters } Effective July 1, 1990, the Board of Supervisors adopted Resolution 90/428 which established pay rates for Reserve Firefighters which have remained in effect for seven (7)years without adjustments; and The District having used Reserve Firefighters to perform various daytime support assignments in the warehouse, the apparatus shop, the training division and in mail and supply deliveries between stations and having found such Reserve Firefighters to be a valuable staff resource; and The District having requested the establishment of an hourly pay range for Reserve Firefighters assigned to specific daytime support functions to enable the District to continue to attract Reserve Firefighters to apply for the daytime support assignments; and The County Administrator reviewed and recommended approval of the District request; NOW THEREFORE, the Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors, in its capacity as governing board of the County of Contra Costa and the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District of which it is the ex-officio governing board, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE that effective January 1, 1998 the hourly pay rate schedule for reserve fighters shall be as indicated below: Step 1 $6.50 Step 2 7.00 Step 3 7.50 Step 4 8.00 Step 5 8.50 Step 6 9.00 Step 7 9.50 Step 8 10.00 I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true and correct copy of an action taken and entered on the minutes of the Board of Supervisors on the date shown.
