SUBJECT: Conveyance of Surplus Real Property
Highland Road Bridge Replacement
Project No. 0662-6R4084
Federal Project No. BRLO-5928 (016)
San Ramon Area
The Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County RESOLVES THAT.
Contra Costa County acquired certain real property on August 7, 1876 and August 25, 1890, in
the San Ramon area, described in Exhibit"A" attached hereto, for highway purposes. Said property is
DETERMINED to be surplus and no longer necessary for County highway purposes.
By its action on November 19, 1996, the Board of Supervisors approved the exchange of said
property for property of equal value which was required for the replacement of the Highland Road
Bridge.
Therefore, pursuant to Streets and Highways Code Section 960A, this Board hereby APPROVES
and AUTHORIZES the conveyance of said surplus property, and AUTHORIZES the Board Chair to
execute a Quitclaim Deed to Jorgen and Kristine Clausen on behalf of the County.
The Real Property Division is DIRECTED to cause said Quitclaim Deed to be delivered to the
Grantees.
On March 11, 1997, by Resolution No. 97/114 the Board DETERMINED that the project is exempt
from the requirements of the Califomia Environmental Quality Act as a Class 12 Categorical Exemption,
At the Board's direction 0 Notice of Exemption was filed and the $25.00 handling fee was paid to the
County Clerk. This activity has been found to conform to the General Plan of the County as the surplus
property will be merged with the adjacent parcels.

Real property in an unincorporated area of Contra Costa County, California, being a portion of the
Rancho San Ramon, described as follows:
Commencing at Contra Costa County 1-%" iron pipe monument CT-36 which bears south 27°06'45"
east 792.61 feet from monument CT-35 as shown on the Precise Traverse Form for Camino
Tassajara (Road Number 4721 C) on file with the Contra Costa County Public Works department;
thence, from said monument CT-36, south 11°00'36"east 66.14 feet to the Point of Beginning, said
point being the intersection of the northerly right of way line of Highland Road with the easterly right
of way line of Camino Tassajara;thence,from the Point of Beginning, along the northerly right of way
line of said Highland Road, south 71 058'44"east 422.68 feet, to a point, from which a radial line of
a non-tangent curve, concave to the north, having a radius of 1965.00 feet bears north 9051'44"west;
thence, leaving the northerly right of way line of Highland Road, westerly along the arc of said curve,
through a central angle of 3°17'55", a distance of 113.13 feet to a point on the southerly right of way
line of Highland Road; thence, non-tangent to said curve, north 7105844" west 322.00 feet to the
intersection with the easterly right of way line of said Camino Tassajara; thence, along the easterly
right of way line of said Camino Tassajara, south 18055'01" west 90.28 feet; thence, leaving the
easterly right of way line of Camino Tassajara, north 42°27'31"west 37.61 feet,to a point,from which
a radial line of a non-tangent curve, concave to the west, having a radius of 2065.00 feet bears north
