BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors in its capacity as
Governing Board of the County of Contra Costa, and all districts of which it is the ex-officio
Governing Board, APPROVES the addition of a new Section, Continuing Education Allowance
to the Memorandum of Understanding as follows:
"Employees in classifications represented by the Western Council of Engineers shall be
eligible to receive a 2.5% Continuing Education Allowance effective the first of the
month following adoption of the Memorandum of Understanding by the Board of
Supervisors. The employee must annually complete at least sixty (60) hours of
approved education or training or at least three (3) semester units of department
approved college credit or approved combination thereof."

This is to confirm the agreement reached by the County of Contra Costa and the
Western Council of Engineers to add a new section to the Memorandum of
Understanding as follows:
NEW SECTION: Continuing Fducatlon Allowance
"Employees in classifications represented by the Western Council of Engineers shall be
eligible to receive a 2.5% Continuing Education Allowance effective the first of the
month following adoption of the Memorandum of Understanding by the Board of
Supervisors. The employee must annually complete at least sixty (60) hours of
approved education or training or at least three (3) semester units of department
approved college credit or approved combination thereof."
