On August 8, 1991, the Board of Supervisors adopted Resolutions Number 911539, 81/540, 911541, 911542, 91/543, 811544 and 91/545. These resolutions granted Transitional Permits to Byron Sanitary District, Central Contra Costs Sanitary District (franchising now handled by the Central Contra Costa Solid Waste Auth xM, Crockett Valona Sanitary District, Kensington Community Services District, Mt. View Sanitary District, Oakley Sanitary District (now Ironhouse Sanitary District) and Rodeo Sanitary District to allow continued franchising solid waste handling services, including recycling services in the unincorporated areas until December 31, 1991. 2. On August 6, 1991,the Board of Supervisors also adopted Resolutions Number 911572, 911538, 911537, 91/536, 911535, 911534,91/533, 91/532,911531, 911530 and 911529 which granted Transitional Permits to Silvio Garaventa, Sr. (Individually and doing business as Oakley Disposal or by any other fictitious name), Bay View Refuse Service, Inc., Crockett Garbage Company, OrindalMoraga Disposal Service, Pleasant HIP Sayshors Disposal, Inc., SAWOCO dba Valley Waste Management and Richmond Sanitary Service to allow continued solid waste handling services, including recycling services, in the unincorporated areas until December 31, 1991. 3. The purpose of the Transitional Permits was to allow time for discussion with the sanitary districts and solid waste collectors on the implementation of Ordinance 91-31. Some of these discussions are on-going and have not yet been concluded. 4. These resolutions were amended from time to time to extend the term of the transitional permits; current resolutions expired December 31, 1996. 5. Resolutions Number 911539(Byron Sanitary District)and 91/544 (Ironhouse Sanitary District) are hereby amended to extend the term of these transitional permits which allow for continued administration of the current franchises between the Sanitary Districts and existing solid waste haulers through June 30, 1997 or earlier if other arrangements or agreements are made which provide for waste collection In the unincorporated areas of the County In compliance with Ordinance 91-31.
