THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA
Adopted this Order on February 13, 1996 by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Rogers, Bishop, Torlakson and Smith
NOES: None
ABSENT: Supervisor DeSaulnier
ABSTAIN: None
RESOLUTION NO. 96/58
SUBJECT: In the matter of amending Resolution No. 95/94 El Sobrante Municipal Advisory
Council
IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the Board that:
Item #6 of Resolution 95/94 - Exofficio Members - is deleted.
Item#6 - Alternate Members - is added as follows:
The Board of Supervisors will appoint two alternate members to El Sobrante Municipal
Advisory Council (ESMAC). Both these members must meet candidate requirements as specified
by Resolution No. 95/94 and law. Alternates for members of the ESMAC shall be designated as
Alternate#1 and Alternate#2. In order of their appointment, alternate members may participate as
voting members at regular ESMAC meetings to replace any absent members.
When a vacancy occurs on the ESMAC, with written notification to the Clerk of the Board
of Supervisors, Alternate #1 automatically shall fill the unexpired term and Alternate #2 moves to
Alternate#1. A new Alternate#2 will then be appointed by the Board. Alternates filling vacancies
shall serve for the remainder of the unexpired term(s).
