SUBJECT: Vasco Road Realignment Boundary Change
RESOLUTION NO. 94/595
The Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County RESOLVES THAT:
The Vasco Road Realignment County Boundary change covering a shift of 16.54 acres from
Alameda County to Contra Costa County is APPROVED.
On December 6, 1994 noticed public hearing on this matter was held and limited testimony
was received and the Board closed the public hearing.
The Board accepts the Vasco Road and Utility Relocation Project Final EIR as adequate
environmental documentation for this project and has previously adopted CEQA findings on
this subject.
The area to be transferred from Alameda County shall be detached from all exclusive Alameda
County taxing agencies including the following:
Alameda County Mosquito Abatement District
Alameda County Service Area Emergency Medical
Alameda County Service Area Vector Control
Livermore Area Recreation and Park District
Zone 7, Alameda County Flood Control and Water Conservation District
Alameda County Fire Department
Livermore-Amador Valley Transit District
Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District
Alameda County Community College District

The agencies to be annexed to the land coming from Alameda County are:
East Diablo Fire Protection District
Contra Costa County Resource Conservation District
Contra Costa County Mosquito Abatement District
Liberty Union High School District
Byron Elementary School District
Contra Costa Community College District
County Service P-6
The land is to remain within the East Bay Regional Park District and the Bay Area Rapid
Transit District.
The effective date of finalizing this boundary change is to be December 20, 1994. If for some
reason the completion cannot occur on that date, the Community Development Director is
authorized to work with Alameda County staff to determine a new effective date.
The Walker parcel transferred from Alameda County shall,if feasible,be integrated into Parcel
#005-070-002 under the same ownership so as not to create a subdivision of land.
County staff is directed to do the necessary paperwork to finalize this County boundary
change and to assure validating legislation is adopted by the State.
