The Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors RESOLVES THAT:
1. The 1391-93 Memorandum of Understanding between the
County and ContraCosta County Employees Association,
Local No. 1, required that the County study Storeroom
Clerk positions in the Health', Services Department and
compare them with the class of Driver Clerk.
2 The study has been completed and on September 2, 1993 the
Employee Relations Manager submitted a Side Letter dated
August 11, 1993 entered into with, Contra Costa County
Employees 'Association, Local No. 1, regarding a 5% pay
differential for Storeroom Clerks who drive a commercial
size truck with a gross vehicle weight of over 25,000
pounds.
3 . This Board having thoroughly considered said Side Letter,
the same is approved.

Dear'Mr. da Roza
This letter is to confirm the agreement reached between the County and Local #1
regarding the Storeroom Clerks in the Materiels Management Department at
Merrithew:,Memorial Hospital.
It is agreed that a' permanent Storeroom Clerk in the Materiels Management
Department will be paid a 5% differential for the entire shift on those days he/she
drives the commercial sized truck with a gross vehicle weight of over 25,000 pounds.
The assignment of which storeroom Clerk will drive the truck is at the sole discretion
of management':
