SUBJECT Declaration of Intent to Ley and Collect Annual Assessments for County Landscaping and
Lighting District AD 1979-3 (LL-2)for Fiscal Year 1993-9�4 and Notice of Public Hearings and
Availability of Engineer's Report.
The'Board of Supervisors of the County of Contra Costa resolves:
1. The Board declares its intention to levy and collect annual assessments within County
Landscaping and Lighting District AD 1979-3 LI:2)for the fiscal year beginning,July 1, 19 93 and ending
June 30, 1994. The lots and parcels to be assessed are generally located in the unincorporated areas
of Centra Costa County in the following zones: Zone 7 (Pleasant Hili BART); Zane 40 (California Sunrise
Subdivision, Oakley); Zone 41 (Subdivision 7366, Oakley); and Zone 44 (Laurel Heights Subdivision,
Oakley).
2. At 11:00 a.m.,:on Tuesday, July 27, 1993, and at 11:00 a.m., on Tuesday, August 3, 1993,
in the Board chambers, bated In the County Administration Building,651 Dine Street, Martinet, California,
the Beard will conduct public hearings on the levy of the proposed assessments. The Board will consider
all oral statements and all written protests or communications rads or filed by any interested persons.
Any interested person may, prior to the conclusion of the August 3, 1993 hearing,bile a written pretest with
the Clerk of the Board at the address listed above. A written protest shall state all grounds of objection.
A protest by a property owner shall contain a description sufficient to identify the property owned by him.
3. The assessments are proposed to be levied for the installation, planting, ,construction,
maintenance and servicing of certain improvements, which are generally described' as follows:
landscaping, irrigation, lighting, park and recreational facilities, together with all appurtenant facilities and
"Incidental expenses.

4. In accordance with the Board's resolution ordering the preparation and filing of an annual report,
the Public Works Director,Engineer of Mork,has filed with the Clerk of the Board the report required by the
Landscaping and Lighting Act of 1972,and the Board hereby approves the report as filed. The report contains
a full and detailed description of the improvements, the boundaries of the assessment district'and the zones
therein, and the proposed assessments upon assessable lots and parcels of land within the district. The report
is available'for public inspection at the office of the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors, located at 651 Pine
Street, Room 106, Martinez, California.
5. This resolution is adopted pursuant to Sections 22586, 22587,22623 and 22624 of the Streets and
Highways Code.
6. The Clerk of the Board shall give notice of hearing'by causing this resolution to be published at
least ten days prior to the hearing date pursuant to Sections 22552 22553 and 22626 of the Streets and
Highways Code and Section 6061 of the Government Code.
7. The Public Works Director shall give notice of hearing by causing written notices to be mailed
by first-class mad to all property owners'in the affected zones pursuant to Sections 22556 and 225588 of the
Streets and Highways Code and Section 549546(c) of the Government Code.
