HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS - 01011993 - 1993-285 IN THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, STATE OF CALIFORNIA In the Matter of Honoring CHIEF WILLIAM MAXFI ELD ) RESOLUTION NO. 931285 On the Occasion of He Retirement ) WHEREAS, Chief WilliamMaxfield has dedicated his entire professional career to public protection; and WHEREAS, after 33 years he is retiring from'the position of Chief of the Contra Costa Fire Protection District; and WHEREAS, as a direct result of Chief Maxfield's leadership of the second largest fire protection district in Northern California, many Contra Costa citizens'lives and property have been saved from destruction; and WHEREAS, Chief Maxfield's involvement in many of the statewide coalitions forfire protection has allowed Contra Costa to provide quality fire protection services for its residents; and WFIER&4S, Chief Maxfield's participation in the After Action Review Committees for the Oakland Hills Fire and the Los Angeles Riots further portrays his professional commitment and desire to help people experiencing crisis'situations; and WHER&4S, Chief Maxfield's years of county service are much appreciated, and his input and presence will be missed. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors honors CHIEF WILLIAM MAXFIELD on the occasion of his retirement and wishes him much happiness and success.
