*RIMS, in 1926 the Association for the Study of Negro Life and History,
headed by Garter G. Woodson inaugurated' Black History Week, which today has
evolved into Black wry Month (February). We owe this time of celebrating
Af.r c an-American acomplidwwrts to the dedication of this singular scholar; and
