SUBJECT:
SALE OF TAX-DEFAULTED PROPERTY TO THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE
CITY OF BRENTWOOD.
IT IS BY THE BOARD ORDERED that the Chairman is authorized to
execute and Agreement of Sale entered into between the County of
Contra Costa, State of California, and the Redevelopment Agency of
the City of Brentwood, for the sale of Parcel 018-160-017 to the
Redevelopment Agency of the City of Brentwood pursuant to Revenue
and Taxation Code Sections 3791.3 et seq. as recommended by the
County Treasurer-Tax Collector.

AGREEMENT TO PURCHASE TAX-DEFAULTED PROPERTY
This Agreement is made this day of 19 , by and between the Board of
Supervisors of Contra Costa County, State of Califomia,
the Redevelopment Agency of the City
and of Brentwood CPURCHASERJ,
pursuant to the provisions of Division 1, Part 6, Chapter 8, of the Revenue and Taxation Code.
The real property situated within said county, hereinafter set forth and described in Exhibit 'A' attached hereto and
made a part hereof, is tax-defaulted and is subject to the power of sale by the tax collector of said county for the
nonpayment of taxes, pursuant to provisions of law.
It is mutually agreed as follows:
1. that as provided by Section 3800 of the Revenue and Taxation Code, the cost of giving notice of
this agreement shall be paid by the PURCHASER, and
2. that the PURCHASER agrees to pay the sum of$220-CC for the real property described in Exhibit
'A'within 14 days after the date this agreement becomes effective. Upon payment of said
sum to the tax collector, the tax collector shall execute and deliver a deed conveying title to said
property to PURCHASER.
If all or any portion of any individual parcel listed in Exhibit 'A' is redeemed prior to the effective date of this
agreement, this agreement shall be null and void as to that individual parcel. This agreement shall also become null
and void and the right of redemption restored upon the PURCHASER'S failure to comply with the terms and
conditions of this agreement. Time is of the essence.

Parcel No. 018-160-017 more particularly described as follows:
Portion of the Northeast 1/4 of the Southeast 1/4 of Section 1, Township 1 North,
Range 2 East, Mount Diablo Base and Meridian, described as follows:
Beginning on the center line of the State Highway along the east line of said Section
1, distant thereon north 00 27' east, 1955.74 feet from the southeast corner of
said Section 1, said point of beginning being south 0° 27' west, 50 feet from the
northeast corner of the parcel of land described in the deed from F.H. Billingsley
to Letitia Gregory, dated January 19, 1945 and recorded March 2, 1945 in Volume
785 of Official Records, at page 375; thence from said point of beginning south
01 27' west, along said center line, 421.22 feet to the south line of the 50 feet in
width right of way designated as Sunrise Drive in the deed from Minnie Billingsley
to Olga Nicholson, dated January 8, 1943 and recorded January 13, 1943 in Volume
706 of Official Records, at page 475; thence west along said south line, along
north line of the parcel of land firstly described in said deed to Nicholson (706
OR 475) and along the extension west thereof, 1032.69 feet to the extension south
0° 27' west of the east line of the parcel of land described in the deed from Fred
H. Billingsley, et ux, to Eugene Dollarhide, et ux, dated Dec. 8,1942 and recorded Dec.12, 1942
in Vol. 655 of Official Records, at page 452: thence north 01 27' east, along said
extended line and along the east line of said Dollarhide parcel (655 OR 452),
421.22 feet to a point which bears west from the point of beginning; thence east,
parallel with the north line of said Gregory parcel (785 OR 375), 79.77 feet to a
point which bears west, 952.92 feet from the point of beginning: thence westerly
and southerly along the arc of a curve to the left with a radius of 30 feet; the
center of which bears due south 46.89 feet; thence south 01 27' west, tangent to
said curve, 311.21 feet; thence southerly and easterly along the arc of a curve to
the left with a radius of 30 feet tangent to the last course, 47.36 feet; thence

point of beginning; thence east 50.16feet to the point of beginning.

2. The mineral rights reserved in the deed from Ben Peterson, et ux, to Frankie
Rieger, a married woman, date February 28, 1963, and recorded February 28, 1963 in

"All oil, gas, casinghead gasoline and other hydrocarbon and mineral substances below a
point 500 feet below the surface of said land, together with the right to take,
remove, mine and dispose of all of said oil, gas, casinghead gasoline, and other
hydrocarbon and mineral substances, but without any right whatsoever to enter upon
the surface to said land."
