ANNUAL GaEEK FESTIVAL in Contra )
County
Every year, the St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church holds the Greek
Festival at De La Salle High'''School in Concord. This year marks
its 14th year of operation.'
St. Demetrios` beloved spiritual 'leader, Father Nicholas Milatos
(Father 'Nick to those who know him) , describes the festival as a
way for the church to share its Greek culture with the community,.
The :.festival' will be 'a smorgasbord of food, entertainment, games,
and arts and crafts. It is a true ' family occasion and fun is
certain for all who attend.
The Board of Supervisors is 'happy to announce that all proceeds
will benefit the church and urges the citizens of Ccntra;, Costa
County to take advantage and experience ' a bit or Greek culture
right in our own backyard.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors
declares June 26 - 28, 199 2 as the 14th ANNUAL GREEK FESTIVAL in
Contra Costa County.
PASSED .AND ADOPTED ON June 23, 1992 by a unanimous vote `of the
Board members present.
