Bethel Island Fire District. }
}
WHEREAS the Board of Supervisors adopted Resolution 911450 effective July 1,
1991 which established that the Bethel Island fire District position of Secretary
should be paid at the equivalent to the County merit system class of Clerk-Senior
level ; and
WHEREAS the Board of Supervisors adopted Resolution 92/105 establishing new salary
rates for the County merit system class of Clerk-Senior level ; NOW THEREFORE
THE CONTRA COSTA COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS RESOLVES THAT the salary for the
classification of Secretary, Bethel Island Fire District be set as follows:
Effective: 06-01-92 XB-1501 ($1940-2477)
Effective: 07--01-92 XB-1523 {$1983-2532}
Effective 10-01-92 XB-1553 {$2044-2609}
Lump Sum Payment
For the position listed above in lieu of a retroactive pay requiring a special
payroll recomputation processing back to October 1991,, the County will make a lump
sum payment to the employee for the months of October, November and December of
1991; and ''January, February, March, April and May of 1992' computed as follows:
Employee regular pay, overtime pay and specific other earning ordinarily computed
as a percentage of base pay will be added together for each appl'icabl'e pay period
to determine the appropriate pay base. This 'base will then be multiplied by 3% to
arrive at the employee's lump sum payment. The payment amount thus computed will
be added to the employee's July 10, 1992 paycheck where it will be listed
separately as a "lump sum payment" and will be subject to normal tax withholding
and retirement deduction requirements.
Any employee believing there is an underpayment resulting from this methodology
exceeding $30 may contact the Personnel' Department. The Personnel [Department and
the Auditor's Office will investigate and issue the additional pay, if owed, as
soon' as possible:
