V41EREA.S,the 1991 PittsburgHigh iigh School Football Team,the Pirates,won the North wast Section
Championship,
WHEREAS,the Pirates completed the season with an outstanding record of eleven wins,one loss and
one tie
'MMW-PEAS,the Pittsburg High School Varsity Coaching Staff includes Head Coach Herc Pardi and
,assistants Joe Ahotti,Jeff Haflich,Sam Quinones,Lenny Davis,Cy Simonton,Marty Roberts,Frank Villa,
Jared Rubio and Lu Hearns,and trainer Anis Skousen. The coaching staff is to be congratulated for their out-
standing job in instilling dedication,sense of fair play and enthusiasm into the players.

WHEREAS,the thrilling Championship WIN'at the+C}akland-AlamedaCounty Coliseum wasoverthe
Tae La Safe Spartans,another outstanding team., rated Number One in California and Number Four in the
nation;
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the County Board of Supervisors extends hearty
congratulations to the Pittsburg High School Varsity Football Team and joins the Pittsburg community in
expressing;pride and appreciation to the team members and the coaching staff for their fine demonstration
of good sportsmanship and respired team play;
