On the Occasion of His Retirement From, �
33Z Cockett-Valona Sanij&13t District, 1992)
WHEREAS Arthur DelAgostino retired from his position of. District
Secretary1manager of the Crockett'-Valona Sanitary District with over twenty-nine years of
dedicated service to the;District; and
WHEREAS Arthur Del Agostino was appointed to the "Board of Directors of the
Crockett-Valona Sanitary District to replace T. J. Neff in 1962; and
WHEREAS Arthur Del Agostino was re-elected to the Crockett Valona Sanitary Board
for consecutive terms until his retirement from the Board in 1988; and
WHEREAS Arthur Del Agostino oversaw planning, financing, and construction of the
Sanitary District's secondary' wastewater treatment plant, which significantly improved the
quality of wastewater discharge into the Bay; and
WHEREAS Arthur bei Agostino joined the Crockett-Valona Sanitary District
management as District SecretarylManager from 1988 until '1991, and was responsible for the
duties of permanent Burd secretary, agendas, budgets, finance issues, complaints, and all
administrative natters that were part of the District's day-today business; and
WHEREAS Arthur Del Agostino worked his way up previously to a most responsible
position at C&H Sugar, starting with the Company as a floor boy,, and ending up in a
supervisory position before joining the Crockett Valona Sanitary District,) and
WHEREAS Arthur Del Agostino enjoys a respected;,reputation in Crockett because of
his knowledge of the needs of the people of Crockett and of the services provided by the
Crockett-Valona Sanitary District.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of the County
of Contra Costa, California, hereby COMMENDS Arthur Del Agostino on the occasion of his
retirement from the Crockett-Valona Sanitary District, APPLAUDS Arthur Del Agostino for
his generous and effective efforts to improve the health and welfare of the citizens of Crockett,
and EXTENDS to Arthur Del Agostino its best wishes for a pleasant and productive
retirement,'
PASSED and ADOPTED this twenty-fifth day of February, 1992, by 'unanimous vote
of the Board members present.
I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true and correct dopy of a resolution entered in
the minutes of the Board of Supervisors on the date aforesaid.
