HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS - 01011992 - 1992-072 IN THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, STATE OF CALIFORNIA In the Matter of Declaring ) April 18-25 1992 as CLA'C'TON RESOLUTION NO. 92/ 72 VALLEY 'HIGH SCHOOL MARCHING � BAND AND C:OLORGUARD WEEK in '= ) Contra Costa Counter The Clayton Valley High School Marching Bandand;;Colorguard came out of the 1991;, review season as the undefeated champions Also, they took first place in their division at both the California Raisin Bowl Band Championships and the Western States Marching Band Championships. Not only did the Bandsweep the overall field show competitions, they placed first for best marching, visual, percussion, music, effect, and colorguard. As a result of the Band's exceptional performance and competition record,>> they have been selected to compete in the American Music Festival in Orlando`, Florida, this April. The competition will include performances at 'both Disney World and Universal Studios. The Board of Supervisors is very impressed with the Clayton Valley High School: Marching Banti and Colorguard and is very proud to have them representing our community in a national competition. We wish all the band and colorguard members much success and hope they all have a wonderful time in Florida. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board: of Supervisors declares April '18-25 as CLAYTON VALLEY HIGH SCHOOL MARCHING BAND AND COLORGUARD WEEK in Contra Costa County.
