None ABSTAIN: None i RESOLUTION NO. 91/118 SUBJECT: Intensive Probation Supervision for the Serious/Violent Juvenile Offender WHEREAS the Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors desires to continue a certain project designated Intensive Probation Supervision for the Serious/Violent Juvenile Offender to be funded in part from funds made available through the Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention. Act of 1974, PL 93-415, administered by the Office of Criminal Justice Planning (hereafter referred to as OCJP) . j NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the County Probation Officer is authorized, in behalf of the Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors, to submit the proposal to OCJP and is authorized to execute on behalf of the Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors the Grant Award Agreement, including any extensions or amendments thereof. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the applicant agrees to provide all matching funds required for said project (including any amendment thereof) under the Program and the funding terms and conditions of OCJP and that the cash match will be appropriated as required. IT IS AGREED that any liability arising out of the performance of this Grant Award Agreement, including civil court actions for damages, shall be the responsibility of the grant recipient and the authorizing agency. The State of California and OCJP disclaim responsibility for any such liability. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that grant funds received hereunder shall not be used to supplant expenditures controlled by this body. I BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Probation Officer determines this to be a project of high priority. I . BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, pursuant to OCJP guidelines, the Criminal Justice Agency of Contra Costa County is the body charged with allocation of these funds. The Criminal Justice Agency Board has reviewed and approved the second year grant application for the period February 1, 1991 to April 30, 1992, which includes a three month grace period in the event a time extension beyond twelve months is necessary. j I hereby certify that this is a true and correct Copy of an action taken and entered on the minutes of the Board of supervisorsthe date shown.
