HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS - 12191989 - 89-787 R _A THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA Adopted this Order on December 19 , 1989 by the following vote: AYES: Supervisors Fanden, Schroder, McPeak, Torlakson NOES: None ABSENT: Supervisor Powers ABSTAIN: None } In the Matter of Corrections ) to Resolution 89/684 ) Resolution No. 89/787 } The Board has adopted Resolution 89/684 effective October 1, 1989 setting compensation for County Officers, Management and Unrepresented employees for the period 1989-1991. Additional related pay and benefit actions not previously finalized have been recommended by the County Administrator for inclusion. THEREFORE, the Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors Resolves That Resolution 89/684 is amended to include the following provisions on the dates and in the manner indicated herein: SECTION I (SALARIES) 1. Allocate the following classes effective October 1, 1989 on the basic salary schedules/levels as shown: Class Schedule/Level Supervising Auditor-Appraiser (DRNA) C5-2043 ($3503-$4258) Departmental Account Clerk Manager (JHDC) XB-1740 ($2462-$3145) 2. Adjust the following class effective October 1, 1990 the number of salary levels shown. These levels shall be in addition to other general or pay equity increases. Class Number of Levels Departmental Account Clerk Manager (JHDC) 36 SECTION IV (LEAVES AND PAY FOR TIME NOT WORKED) 1. Subsection F (Management Attorney Administrative Leave) is amended by adding at the beginning of the subsection, the phrase: "In lieu of the 40 hours annual leave provided for by subsection E above. . ." SECTION V (BENEFITS AND ALLOWANCES) 1. Section A (Health Plan Contribution Rates) is amended effective January 1, 1990 to extend provisions of Government Code Section 77208 to Municipal Court Judges (2RA2) in Contra Costa County. This Section provides that "the Board of Supervisors may, at county cost, provide municipal court judges serving in any municipal court in the county on or after October 1, 1987, with retiree health benefits substantially equal to the retiree benefits provided to superior court judges." This benefit is based upon agreements between the County and the Municipal Courts regarding the 1989 Trial Court Funding legislation and is subject to administrative provisions as may be further developed by the Office of the County Administrator and the Municipal Court. RESOLUTT,ON NO, 89/787 2. erection E (Executive Automobile Allowance) is amended effective ZL November 1, 1989 to extend a monthly automobile allowance in the amount of $250/month (flat). to Judicial Officers of the Superior and Municipal Courts. Receipt of the automobile allowance will require that Judicial Officers furnish a private automobile for County business. 3. Section M (Uniform Allowance) is amended effective July 1, 1989 to extend a monthly uniform allowance of $480 per year payable in a lump-sum on paychecks issued December 10 to the following management classes in the Sheriff-Coroner's Department: Classes: Central Identification Bureau Director (64DA) Director of Correctional Industries (64FE) Director of Food Services - Detention Facilities (64FD) Marshal - Court Services Division (6RB3) Effective. July 1, 1989 in the County Sheriff's Department, the unrepresented classes of Career Development Worker I - Project Non-Clerical (99X3) and Career Development Worker II - Project (99X5) shall be eligible for a monthly uniform allowance when assigned to positions offsetting Sheriff's Aides and Sheriff's Specialists. The monthly uniform allowance shall be $300 per year payable in a lump sum on paychecks issued December 10. This yearly payment, which is for the period July 1 through June 30, shall be prorated for employees hired after July 1. Employees who terminate employment after January 1 and prior to July 1 shall be required to pay back excess uniform allowance by an automatic deduction from his/her final pay check. Consistent with agreements between the County and Contra Costa County Employees Association Local No. 1 representing Crafts employees and Operating Engineers, the following listed management classes shall be eligible effective 10/1/89 for a reimbursement of $20.00 per month to defray the cost of supplying and cleaning clothing worn in the performance of regular duties.
