IN THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
OF
CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
In the Matter of Congratulating )
the Sikh Community in Contra )
Costa County on the Birthday ) RESOLUTION NO. 88/736
of Guru Nanek Dev )
WHEREAS about three hundred Sikh families live in Contra Costa
County; and
WHEREAS the Sikhs are making important contributions to enrich the
social and economic health of our community; and
WHEREAS November 23 , 1988 is the five hundred and nineteenth birthday
of Guru Nanek Dev, the founder of the Sikh religion;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of
Contra Costa County, California extends its congratulations and best
wishes to the Sikh community of Contra Costa County on the occasion
of the birthday of Guru Nanek Dev.
PASSED AND ADOPTED on December 6, 1988, by unanimous vote of the
Board members present.
I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true and correct copy of a
