NOES: None . ABSENT: None . ABSTAIN: None . SUBJECT: In The Matter of Salary Adjustment for County Treasurer-Tax Collector, 87/81. Chief Investment Officer and County Retirement Administrator The Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors Resolves That: A. Effective January 1, 1987 the salary schedule and levels of the following listed classes are as indicated: Class Schedule/Level 1 . Treasurer-Tax Collector (S5A1) C1-2237 ( $5169 flat) 2. Chief Invest. Officer (S5BC) C5-2123 ( $3794-4612) 3 . Retirement Administrator (AlAA) XA-2080 ( $3635-4418) B. Effective July 1, 1987, the salary of the following listed classes shall be increased in addition to any general increases granted by the Board on that date if any, by the amounts indicated: Class Number of Levels/Percent. 1 . Treasurer-Tax Collector (S5A1 ) 40 levels ( 4. 07900) 2 . Chief Invest. Officer (S5BC) 33 levels (3 . 35340) 3 . Retirement Administrator (AlAA) 49 levels ( 5. 01950) C. Effective January' l , 1988, the salary of the following listed classes shall be increased in addition to any general increases granted by the Board on that date, if any, by the amounts indicated: Class Amount of Increase 1 . Treasurer-Tax Collector (S5A1) A number of levels necessary to place the range equivalent to the range then in effect for the County Auditor-Controller (SAA1) 2. Chief Invest. ABSTAIN: j j 4 SUBJECT: In the Matter of County-Wide ) Reorganization of Lighting ) RESOLUTION 87/80 Service Areas ) Gov.'C §§ 57075 et seq) I A The Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County, as the conducting authority, hereby resolves that: 1. This Resolution is made pursuant to the Cortese-Knox Act (Govt. C. §§ 56000 et seq. ) , in order to annex the territory of M service area numbers 3,7 ,12,13,14 ,16,20, 21,22 , and 23 to County Service Area L-100 and simultaneously dissolve M service area numbers 3,7,12,13,14, 21 and 22 . 2. The exterior boundaries of the territories of the aforesaid M service,jareas, as well as the exterior boundaries of the aforesaid service area L-100 , are as shown in the Assessor' s and Public Works Department' s maps for said Service areas, as on file and available ,Ifn the offices of the aforesaid Departments. 3 . The conditions of the reorganization, as approved by the Local Agency Formation Commission on November 12, 1986, are 1) upon the annexation' of the affected territories to L-100, the Board of Supervisors will eliminate the lighting services presently provided by the affected M county service areas, 2 ) the property, other ass,'ets and personnel used for street lighting services in the affected M county service areas are to be transferred to and ",used by L-100, 3 ) the County of Contra Costa is designated as the successor to the county service areas dissolved by this reorganization for the purpose of succeeding to all of the assets, rights , duties, liabilities and obligations of the extinguished county service areas with respect to enforcement, performance or payment of any contracts and obligations of said county service area's. 4 . The reasonifor the reorganization -is to provide more efficient lighting (services and more equitably allocate the costs of such services. 5. The regular county assessment roll will be utilized for purposes of any taxation in. said L-100. 6. The affectled territory, including the territory of the dissolved service areas, will be taxed for any existing general bonded indebtedness' of said dissolved areas . 7. This Board! hereby -finds that the corporate powers of the aforesaid M County ''Service Area numbers 3,7,12,13,14,21 and 22 have not been used land that there is a reasonable probability that those powerswillnot be used in the future. Further, this Board, as the governing board of the dissolved M Service Areas, hereby finds that it has unanimously consented to the dissolution of said M Service Areas. 9 it I (RESOLUTION NO. 87/80 I i . This Board finds that no protest have been submitted against the proposed reorganization and further finds that no petition against the proposal has been filed within 30 days of the February 24, 1987 public hearing on the proposal. 9 . This Board hereby determines that any appropriations limits for the dissolved M county service areas shall be combined and added to the appropriations limit for County Service Area L-100 . 10. Therefore, this Board hereby ORDERS this reorganization without being subject to confirmation by election.
