through the 16th as "Contra)
Costa Chorale Week" in ) .
Contra Costa County ) RESOLUTION NO. 86/74
WHEREAS, The Contra` Costa Chorale is celebrating 20 years of bringing
choral music of. high quallity to the citizens of Contra Costa County; and
WHEREAS, since its beginnings in Richmond in 1966, singers from all over
the County have come together in the Chorale for the joy of singing, and the
Chorale has earned a reputation as one of the best choruses in the Bay Area;
and
WHEREAS, the Contra Costa Chorale is celebrating its 20th .Anniversary
with its Annual "Pops" Concerts under the direction of its conductor Dick
Karmer on March 9th at the Contra Costa College in San. Pablo and March 16th at
the Civic Arts Theater in Walnut Creek.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa
County proclaim the week of March 9th through 16th, 1986 as "Contra Costa Chorale
Week" and invites all citizens of Contra Costa to attend the "Pops" Concerts of
the Chorale and celebrate with them their 20th Anniversary.
Passed and adopted by unanimous vote of the Board members present on this
25th day of February.
I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true and correct copy of a
resolution entered on the minutes of said Board of Supervisors on the date afore-
said.
