Fixing Court Filing Fees ) (Chapter 8, Division 1 of the
for Calendar Years 1987-1988 ) Business & Professions Code)
The Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors RESOLVES THAT:
1. Pursuant to the authority in Chapter 8, Division 1 of the Business- & Professions
Code, this Board hereby amends Resolution No. 86-704, adopted December 9, 1986,
as follows:
Government Code Secs. 26820.4 and 26827 (Super.Ct.Pl's. & Probate 1st paper, etc. )
Add Dispute Resolution Program (Chapter 8, Division 1
of the Business & Professions Code $ 3
This increases the total fee for this category from $108 to $111.
Government Code Sec. 26826 (Super.Ct. Def's. 1st paper, etc. )
Add Dispute Resolution Program (Chapter 8, Division 1
of the Business & Professions Code $ 3
This increases the total fee for this category from $78 to $81.

Add Dispute Resolution Program (Chapter 8, Division 1

This increases the total fee for this category from $51 to $54.

This increases the total fee for this category from $44 to $47.
2. The effective date, pursuant to Chapter 8, Division 1 of the Business &
Professions Code, of this fee is January 1,1987.
3. The County Auditor-Controller is authorized to establish a fund entitled Dispute
Resolution Program to receive the fees collected, pursuant to.Section 1 above.
4. The County Administrator is directed to develop guidelines for this program, in
concert with the Superior and Municipal Courts and other relevant agencies, once
the State guidelines are adopted by the Department of Consumer Affairs. (Given
that the State must adopt guidelines before any local program can be funded and
operated, it may be up to two years before this occurs. In the meantime, funds
will be accumulating in the account.)

5. The Law Library fees specified in Resolution No. 86/704 are not increased as
requested by the Law Library Trustees since any increase in this fee would
require a reduction in the Clerk's fee which is now General Fund revenue used to
fund County operations.
