HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS - 02281984 - 84-128 J THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA Adopted this Order on February 28 , 1984 , by the following vote: AYES: Supervisors Powers , Fanden, McPeak, Schroder , Torlakson. NOES: None . ABSENT: None. ABSTAIN: None . SUBJECT: Determination of Property Tax) Transfer for Dias (LAFC 84-311 RESOLUTION NO. 84/ 128 and. Travalini Boundary ). Reorganizations ). WHEREAS, the Revenue and Taxation Code provides that the City and the County shall agree to exchange property tax revenues between them- selves to reflect transfer of service responsibilities resulting from detachment of territory from the City; and WHEREAS, the Dias (LAFC 84-3) and the Travalini Boundary Reorganizations involve detachment from the City of Richmond and concur- rent annexation to County Service Area LIB 2 and County Service Area R-9. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County does hereby determine, subject to the concurrence of the City of Richmond, that 100% of the property tax accruing to the City from the affected territory of the subject boundary reorganizations shall be transferred to the County and that the County Auditor-Controller shall allocate said tax transfer to the County as follows: County General 92% County Library 5% County Service Area LIB 2 3% This Resolution does not change the .property tax revenues accruing to other agencies servicing the subject territory or the affected agencies' right to collect taxes for existing bonded indebtedness. The property tax exchange agreement discussed above shall apply to affected territory as submitted or revised by the Local Agency Formation Commission. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that County Service Area P-6 (CSA P-6) includes all of Contra Costa County except for areas within incorporated cities and .the territory of the Kensington Community Services District and that the Local Agency Formation Commission may determine that it is necessary to amend the boundaries of CSA P-6 to include territory affected by both subject reorganizations. In the event that the Local Agency Formation Commission amends the boundaries of CSA P-6 to include the territory of the subject reorganizations, there shall be no property tax transfer to CSA P-6 as a result of the subject reorganizations. 1 hereby certify that this is a true and correct copy of an action taken and entered on the minutes o1 the Board of Supervisors on t,a date shown.
