SUBJECT: Resolution to Continue in Force ) Resolutions #83/1241 and #82/19 ) RESOLUTION NO. 84/ 781 Establishing a Courthouse ) Chapter 12 of the Government Code Temporary Construction Fund ) and a County Criminal Justice ) commencing with Section 76000: Facility Temporary Construction ) Chapter 726, Statutes of 1984 Fund Respectively in the County ) (Senate Bill 1394) Treasury. ) The Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors RESOLVES THAT: 1. Govt. Code Sections 76000 and 76005 Invoked. In order to assist this County in the acquisition, rehabilitation, construction, and financing of court- rooms or of a courtroom building or buildings containing facilities necessary to the operation of the courts, the provisions of Government Code Sections 76000 and 76005 (as enacted by Chapter 12 of Chapter 726, Statutes of 1984 [SB 1394) , which become effective January 1, 1985) are hereby found and declared to be necessary to the establishment of adequate courtroom facilities in this County. The effect of this Resolution is to continue without change the Courthouse Temporary Construction Fund established by Resolution 83/1241 (Government Code Section 68073.6 and Penal Code Section 1206.8) , recognizing that Chapter 726 recodifies without substantively changing existing Statute. 2. Fund Established. Pursuant to Government Code Section 76005, a Court- house Temporary Construction Fund is hereby established in the County Treasury, continuing without change this Fund previously established under Resolution 83/1241. 3. Govt. Code Sections 76000 and 76004 Invoked. In order to assist this County in the funding of county criminal justice facilities construction and the improvement of criminal justice automated information systems, the provisions of Government Code Sections 76000 and 76004 (as enacted by Chapter 12 of Chapter 726, Statutes of 1984 jSB 13941 , which become effective January 1, 1985) are hereby found and declared to be necessary to the establishment of adequate county criminal justice facilities in this County. The effect of this Resolution is to continue without change the County Criminal Justice Facility Temporary Construction Fund established by Resolution 82/19 (Government Code Section 68073.4 and Penal Code Section 1206.8) , recognizing that Chapter 726 recodifies without substantively changing existing Statute. 4. Fund Established.
