Costa, State of California Appointing a Relocation Appeals RESOLUTION NO. 84/682

SPECIFIC REQUEST(S) OR RECOMMENDATION(S) & BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
The Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors RESOLVES THAT:
The California Community Redevelopment Law, (Health & Safety Code Section hu).-
33417.5) requires that each county having a redevelopment agency use a relocation
appeals board to hear complaints brought by residents relating to relocation to
determine if the redevelopment agency has complied with applicable laws and
regulations.
Said law further requires that such Board be composed of five members ap-
pointed by the Chairman of the Board of Supervisors and approved by the legislative .
body of the County.
The Chairman has nominated the five members of the Contra Costa County Assess-
ment Appeals Board to serve as the Relocation Appeals Board of Contra Costa County.
IT IS RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Contra Costa that
those individuals serving from time to time as the Assessment Appeals Board of
Contra Costa County are hereby designated and appointed as the Relocation Appeals
Board of Contra Costa County and that the officers of the Relocation Appeals Board
are the same as the officers of the Assessment Appeals Board.
Said Board is authorized and directed to perform all acts and duties required
to be performed by a Relocation Appeals Board under applicable laws and statutes.
