The Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County RESOLVES THAT:
Portions of County road property described in the State of
California Relinquishment recorded May29, 1968 in Book 5635 of
Official Records at page 171 were vacated this date by this Board
for the purpose of opening a new county highway in lieu of those
portions vacated. The owner of adjacent land, Western Electric
Company, Incorporated, has conveyed property to the County for the
realignment of San Ramon Valley Boulevard.
The Public Works Director recommends that the County convey
its interest in the portions of county highway so vacated to said
owner of adjacent land, as required by equity and in accordance
with Section 8356 of the Streets & Highways Code.
This Board hereby APPROVES this conveyance and AUTHORIZES the
Chairman of this Board to execute a Quitclaim Deed, on behalf of
the County, conveying the County's interest in the real property
described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated herein
by this reference, to Western Electric Company, Incorporated.
This Board hereby DIRECTS the Public Works Director to file a
certified copy of this resolution in the Office of the County
Recorder.
The Board hereby FINDS that this activity is exempt from
Environmental Impact Report requirements as a Class 12 Categorical
Exemption under County Guidelines and State CEQA Guidelines, and
AUTHORIZES the Public Works Director to file a Notice of Exemption
with the County Clerk. The project has been determined to conform
to the County General Plan.

Parcel I
That parcel of land in the County of Contra Costa, State of California, described
as follows:
A portion of the Rancho San Ramon, being a portion of the parcel of land described
in the deed to State of California, recorded December 8, 1964 in Book 4758 of
Official Records at page 23, described as follows:
Beginning on a southwesterly line of the parcel of land described in said deed
to State of California, (4758 OR 23) at the most southerly terminus of the course
given as "having a radius of 280.00 feet , through a central angle of
460 58' 3611, an arc length of 229.57 feet described in PARCEL 1 FIFTH in the
deed to Contra Costa County recorded January 30, 1976 in Book 7752 of Official
Records at page 426; and running thence from said point of beginning along the
southwesterly line of said State of California parcel (4758 OR 23) as follows:
Southeasterly along a curve concave to the north whose center bears North
260 02' 12" East with a radius of 280.00 feet, through a central angle of
90 33' 24" for an arc length of 46.70 feet; thence South 730 31' 12" East, 428.64
feet; thence southeasterly along a tangent curve concave to the southwest with
a radius of 670 feet, through a central angle of 450 53' 15", for an arc length
of 536.60 feet to a point of cusp; thence leaving said westerly line (4758 OR 23)
and running North 290 37' 50" West, 380.28 feet to the most easterly corner
of the parcel of land described as Parcel "A" in said deed to State of California
(4758 OR 23); thence along the southwesterly line of said Parcel "A" as follows:
North 730 31' 12" West, 635.63 feet; thence northwesterly along a tangent curve
concave to the northeast with a radius of 220.00 feet through a central angle
of 560 32' 00" a distance of 217.07 feet to a point of cusp; thence, leaving
said Parcel "A", Southerly along a curve concave to the east whose center bears
North 730 00' 48" East with a radius of 738.00 feet, through a central angle
of 160 06' 12" for an arc length of 207.42.feet to the point of beginning.

as follows:

Commencing at a point on the westerly line of the 60.00 foot road right of way
known as San Ramon Valley Boulevard, said point bears North 270 06' 12" West
170.37 feet along said right of way line from the southerly terminus of the
course described .in "Parcel 1 fifth" as South 270 06' 12" East, 773.80 feet
in the deed from Western Electric Company, Incorporated to Contra Costa County,
recorded January 30, 1976 in Book 7752 of Official Records at page 426, thence
from said point of comencement North 620 53' 48" East 60.00 feet to a point
on the common line between the road known as Interstate Highway 680 and the
easterly line of San Ramon Valley Boulevard, the True Point of Beginning; thence
continuing along said common line South 270 06' 12" East 101.78 feet; thence
South 230 50' 40" East 341.06 feet; thence southerly along a tangent curve to
the right having a radius of 726.00 feet, through a central angle of 280 54'
28" an arc distance of 366.29 feet; thence tangent to said curve South 50 03'
48" West 158.67 feet; thence leaving said common line and continuing along the
easterly line of San Ramon Valley Boulevard South 280 10' 48" West 344.13 feet
and southerly along a tangent curve to the left with a radius of 220.00 feet,
through a central angle of 250 40' 19" an arc distance of 98.57 feet to a point
of cusp with a non-tangent curve having a radial line that bears North 690 20'
46" East; said point of cusp shall hereinafter be referred to as Point "A";
thence leaving said easterly line of San Ramon Valley Boulevard and along said
non-tangent curve in a northerly direction along a curve to the right having
a radius of 70.00 feet, through a central angle of 60 01' 41" an arc distance
of 7.37 feet; thence along a tangent curve to the right having a radial line
that bears South 750 22' 27" West with a radius of 746.00 feet through a central
angle of 90 32' 21" an arc distance of 124.20 feet to a point on the westerly
line of the 60 foot in width right of way of said San Ramon Valley Boulevard;
said point shall hereinafter be referred to as Point "B"; thence along said

RESERVING THEREFROM from Parcel II, any and all abutter's right of access appurtenant
to San Ramon Valley Boulevard between the above described Points "A" and "B."

RESERVING FROM Parcels I and I1 above, pursuant to the provisions of Section
8340 of the Streets and Highways Code, the easement and right at any time, or
from time to time, to construct, maintain, operate, replace, remove and renew
sanitary sewers and storm drains and appurtenant structures in, upon, over and
across any highway or part thereof proposed to be abandoned and pursuant to
any existing franchise or renewals thereof, or otherwise, to construct, maintain,
operate, replace, remove, renew and enlarge lines of pipe, conduits, cables,
wires, poles, and other convenient structures, equipment and fixtures for the
operation of gas pipelines, telegraphic and telephone lines, railroad lines
and for the transportation or distribution of electric energy, petroleum and
its products, ammonia, water, and for incidental purposes, including access
to protect the property from all hazards in, upon and over the area hereinbefore
described to abandoned.
