To establish fees and licensing previsions pursuant to
Ordinance No. 80-97 (Devised Animal Control Ordinance) the
Contra Costa County hoard of Supervisors Resolves :
1. Individual Dog and Cat Licenses (Ordinance Code,
Chapter 416-6, Article 16-6 .0) [Licensing o
indiviUual cats is vo untary.
1.1 The fee for licensing a dog or cat is : 10.00.
1.2. The fee for licensing a neutered dog or cat as evidenced
by a veterinarian is $5 .00 .
1. 3. Individual dog or cat licenses are valid until
December 31 of the year in which they are issued.
1.4 . Individual dog or cat license fees are due and payaDl.e
upon issuance of the license. Renewal fees ,become due and payable
on January 1 of each year.
1.5. After January 1, 1932, a late fee of $10 .00 shall be
charged,
(a) for failure to license an animal within sixty days after
a license is required, or
(b) if a renewal fee is unpaid within sixty days after it
is due and payable.
1. 6 . The fee for replacing a lost license tag is 41.00.
2 . Multiple Pet Licenses (Ordinance Code, Chapter 416-6 .
Article
2.1. The application fee for a multiple pet license is $10 .00 .
2.2. Multiple pet license application fees are due and payable
upon application for a multiple pet license.
2. 3. The fee for a multiple pct license for ten animals or
less is $20. 00.

2.4 . The fee for a multiple pet license for eleven to twenty
animals is $40.00.
2. 5. Multiple pet license fees are due and payable upon
issuance of the License. Renewal fees become due and payable one
year after a multiple pet license is issued.
2.6. After January 1, 1982, late fees of $20 .00 for licenses
for ten animals or less and $40.00 for Licenses for eleven to twenty
animals shall be charged,
(a) For failure to obtain a multiple pet license within sixty
days after a multiple pet license is required, or
(b) If a renewal fee is unpaid within sixty days after it is
due and payable.
2.7 . The fees for multiple pet licenses are payable in
addition to the license fees for individual dogs or cats.
3. Kennel Licenses (Ordinance Code, Chapter 416-6,
Article416-; .25
3.1. The application fee for a kennel license is X25 .00 .
3.2. Kennel license application fees are clue and payable
upon application for a kennel license.
3. 3. The fee for a kennel license is $50 .00 .
3.4 . Rennel license fees are due and payable upon issuance
of the license. Renewal fees become due and payable one year after
a kennel license is issued.
3.5. After January 1, 1902, a late fee of $50. 00 shall be
charged,
(a) For failure to obtain a kennel license within sixty days
after a kennel license is required, or
(b) if a renewal fee is unpaid within sixty days after it is
due and payable.
3.6. The fees for kennel licenses are payable in addition
to the license fees for individual animals.
4 . Iaoundment Fees (Ordinance Code, Chapter 416-8) ,
The Animal Services Director shall collect the fallowing
fees for impounded animals
4.1. The basic impoundment fee for a dog is $10. 00 .
4 . 2. The basic impoundment fee for one or more cows, bulls,
steers, burros, horses, sheep, lambs, goats, hogs, or ether large
animals is the actual cost of impounding, but at least $10.00-
4 .3. The basic impoundment fee for a cat, rabbit, bird, fowl,
or other animal not otherwise provided for is $5.00 .

4 .4 . In addition to the basic impoundment fee, the following
shall be charged per day as part of the impoundment fee, for feeding
and carina for the impounded animals:
Dogs, $2..50
Cats, $1.00
Cows, bulls, steers, burros, horses, sheep, lambs, gnats,
hods and ether large animals, $3.25
other animals, $1.25.
4 .5. In the case of an animal reclaimed 'for a second time
within a twelve-month period, an additional fee of $25. 00 shall, be
charged; and in the case of an animal reclaimed three or more times
within a twenty-four month period, an additional fee of $50.00 shall
be charged each time.
4 .6 . The fee for purchase of an impounded animal shall be the
same as that payable to reclaim the animal, except that the fee for
purchase of bovine animals, horses, mules and burros shall be that
established by a resolution of the Board of Supervisors.
5 . Disposal Fees (ordinance Code, Chapter 416--12,
Antic e -12.
5.1. The fee for disposal of a dog is $5. 00,
5 . 2 . The fee for disposal of a cat or other small domestic
animal or bird is $2. 50 .
5. 3. The fee for disposal of a calf, sheep, or goat is $2.:50 .
. 4. The fee for disposal of any other animal is the actual
cast of collection and disposal.
6 . Dangerous Animal Fees (ordinance Cade, Chapter 416-12,
Article 6--
6.1. The application fee for a dangerous animal permit is
$25.00 , due and payable upon application for permit.
6 . 2 The fee for a dangerous animal permit is $50 . 00 , due and
payable when the permit is issued. Renewal fees become due and
payable on January 1 of each year.
6 . 3 An additional delinquent fee of $50 .00 shall be charged if
a dangerous animal permit renewal fee is not paid before February 1.
6. 4 The fees for dangerous animal permits are payable irl
addition to the license fees for individual animals.
