HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS - 01011981 - 1981-319 IN THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, STATE OF CALIFORNIA In the Matter of Determining Property Tax ) Exchange and Reinitiating ) Proposal for P-5 Detachment } Resolution No. 81/319 From County Service Area P-2) (LAFC 80-32) ) WHEREAS, the Board of Superivsors initiated proceedings by Resolution No. 30/1285 for detachment of all of the area of County Service Area P-5 from County Service Area P-2; and WHEREAS, Section 99 of the Revenue and Taxation Code provides that a jurisdictional change affecting one or more special districts shall not become effective until the Board of Supervisors agrees by resolution to an exchange of property tax revenues among affected agencies; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board. of Super- visors of Contra Costa County does hereby reinitiate the proposal and makes application to the Local Agency Formation Commission for the P-5 Detachment from County Service Area P-2 (LAFC 80-32) in accordance with the provisions of Resolution No. 80/1285 and determines the amount of property tax revenues to be exchanged in the proposed detachment proceeding where no subsequent annexa- tion action of the same territory is undertaken shall be as follows: The property tax revenue which would have accrued to the detaching agency (County Service Area P-2) from the area detached shall be apportioned among the agencies continuing to receive property tax from the detached area according to their percent- age of the total share of the tax levy.
