HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS - 01011981 - 1981-273 In the Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County, State of California March 10 198y In the Moffor of Approving Application to the State of RESOLUTION NO. 81/273 California, Department of Parks and Recreation, for California Parklands Act of 1980 Grant Funds for Projects in County Service Areas M-16, LIB-11 , P-1 , R-6 and R-7 WHEREAS, the people of the State of California have enacted the California Parklands Act of 1980, which provides funds to the State of California and its political subdivisions for acquiring lands and for developing facilities for public recreation and historical purposes; and WHEREAS, the State Department of Parks and Recreation has been delegated the responsibility for the administration of the program within the state, setting up necessary procedures governing application by local agencies under the program; and WHEREAS, the County of Contra Costa approved the Priority Plan for Expenditure of the County's allocation of funds under the California Parklands Act of 1980 on February 24, 1981 CRes. No. 81/212); and WHEREAS, said procedures established by the State Department of Parks and Recreation require the applicant to certify by resolution the approval of appli- cations prior to submission of said applications to the state; and WHEREAS, said applications contain assurances that the applicant must comply with; and WHEREAS, the applicant agency will enter into an agreement with the State of California for the acquisition and/or development of the following projects: Neighborhood Park Development - Clyde (M-16) Community Park Development - Oakley (LIB-11 ) Community Center Renovation - Crockett (P-1 ) Community Park Development - Orinda (R-6) Community Park Development - Danville (R-7) NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNTY OF CONTRA COSTA that it hereby APPROVES the filling of five applications for the California Parklands Act of 1980 grant funds for projects in County Service Areas M-16, LIB-11 , P-1 , R-6 and R-7. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said agency understands the assurances and certification in the application; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said agency has or will have sufficient funds to operate and maintain the projects; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said agency has reviewed and understands the General Provisions contained in the state/local agreement; and Resolution No. 811273 r _2- March 10, 1981 IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that the ACTTNG PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR is APPOINTED as agent of the county to conduct all negotiations, execute and submit all documents including but not limited to applications, agreements, amendments, payment requests, and so on which may be necessary for the completion of the aforementioned project.
