The Contra Costa County Hoard of Supervisors RESOLVES that:
1. Findings. Pursuant to its duties and powers, including
those under Health and Safety Code Sections 450 and 510, and as
recommended by the County Health Officer (Health Services
Director) , the County Administrator , and this Hoard ' s Finance
Committee, this Board finds that the County Health Officer' s
expenses, in enforcing various statutes and various orders,
quarantines, rules, and regulations prescribed by State Officers
and Departments, relating to the public health, which require
and/or authorize the Health Officer to perform specified acts,
are not met by fees (if any) prescribed by the State; and this
Hoard, therefore, prescribes the fees below, which will at least
partly pay the reasonable expenses of the Health Officer in such
enforcement.
2 . Date. These fees shall be charged beginning on
January 1, 191.
3. Fees.
Program Fee
Pregnancy Testing $5 . 00
Family Planning $50. 00 (new membership first year)
$45. 00 (membership renewal after
first year)
Child Screening $2 . 50 children up to 2 yrs . of age
and under - 200% of poverty
level
$5 .00 for children up to 2 yrs .
of age over 200% of poverty
level
$10 .00 for children between 2 and
12 yrs . of age with no
income criteria
$12 .50 for children 12 yrs. and
over/no income criteria
$12 . 50 for sports physical and new
grade school entries
Immunization:
a. Typhoid $5. 00
b. Stamping of Inter-
national Travel
Cards $3. 00
TB Skin Testing (PPI ) $3 . 00 includes reading but no charge
for TB contacts
VD
a. Medication for
sexually trans-
mitted diseases $5. 00
b. GC & Syphilis no charge
C. GC & Syphilis
contacts no charge
Nutrition Services $10 . 00 per hour consultation fee

4 . Waiver. The Health Officer may waive any of these fees
in any indiv d 1 case in which he determines that the advancement
and protection of the public health will be better served thereby
and that these considerations outweigh the County financial
interests- in collecting the fee , as when imposition of the fee
will frustrate the public health purpose of the program, as by
discouraging participation therein by a person unable to pay the
fee, for instance.
Effective February 3, 1981 this Resolution supersedes
Resolution No. 80]112 (January 29, 1980) as amended on August 12, 1980,
October 14, 1980 and December 23, 1980.
PASSED on February 3, 1981 unanimously by the Board of
Supervisors present.
