HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS - 01011981 - 1981-158 IN THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, STATE OF CALIFORNIA In the Matter of Resolution Determining Exchange } of Property Tax Revenue Pertaining} RESOLUTION NO. to Annexation No. 246 to West } Centra Costa Sanitary District } WHEREAS, on September 16, 1980 the Executive Officer of the Local Agency Formation Commission of Centra Costa County executed and caused to be recorded with the County Recorder a Certificate of Completion affirming that Annexation No. 246 to West Centra Costa Sanitary District had been completed pursuant to the District Reorganization Act of 1965; and WHEREAS, Section 99 of the Revenue and Taxation Code provides that a jurisdictional change affecting one or more special districts shall not became effective until the Board of Supervisors agrees by Resolution to an exchange of property tax revenues among affected agencies; and WHEREAS, the Sanitary Board of West Contra Costa Sanitary District did on August 26, 1980 adopt Resolution No. 8-26-80C finding .it to-be in the public interest to accept zero tax for said annexation, retaining the right to collect taxes for the purpose of bound debt service; NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Beard of Supervisors of Contra. Crusta County does hereby DETERMINE the amount of property tax revenue to be exchanged in accordance with Section 99 of the Revenue and Taxation Code as follows: That the gest Contra Costa Sanitary District shall receive for fiscal year 1980-1981 and thereafter zero percent (0%) of the property taxes generated from the affected territory- pursuant to Section 96, 97 and 98 of the Revenue and Taxation Code, from the area being annexed to said District and identified as "Annexation No. 246 to West Contra Costa Sanitary District. " That the Resolution does not change the property tax revenues accruing to other agencies serving the sub- ject territory or the affected district' s right to collect taxes for existing bond indebtedness. PASSED AND ADOPTED on February 3, 1981 by unanimous vote .
